The Nine Songs - Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2024

“The Nine Songs” made its triumphant debut at London’s Holy Trinity Church on June 10, drawing nearly 300 attendees to the Wandsworth Arts Fringe. This innovative performance reinterprets “Nine Songs” from “Chu Ci” (楚辞), an ancient Chinese anthology exploring the timeless relationship between humanity and divinity.

“The Nine Songs” represents the collaborative efforts of an international creative team. The production was led by Producer Raine Li and Artistic Director Zhiyan Cai, supported by Assistant Producer Lyz, and Production Coordinator Huiyi Liu.

The performance featured an ensemble of distinguished artists including Zhiyan Cai, Chi Sandford, Donna Kim, Raine Li, Ioan Tran, Seph Li, Sen Kuok, Jiayi Lin, Akane Hiraoka, Chien-Hui Yen, Tianyi Li, Xi Chen, Feifei Xiang, and Peng Yu Contemporary Dance Company.

Technical excellence was ensured by Equipment Manager YuanJing Shen and Lighting Designer Qinru He, with photography by Serendipity Land Studio and Shangyun Mo. Additional support came from our dedicated production staff: Serendipity Land, YuanJing Shen, Qinru He, Shangyun Mo, Shuping Chen, Binchu, XinYi Zhang, and Jomanie Jia.
